Florida Citrus Growers Look for Buyers


I understand the need avoid silly panics, but you’ve got to question Alabama’s decision to import Florida citrus despite the widespread citrus canker and a government ban on shipping Florida fruit to certain areas

The federal government wants to contain the disease, but Alabama believes the “cleansing” technologies are perfectly safe. That’s just not something I’d want to be wrong about.

California says “no thanks” to Florida citrus. The state is understandably concerned about its massive citrus crop.
