Go Green with Your Kitchen Remodel

Are you in the middle of a kitchen renovation? Or do you have a few small projects in your kitchen that you’re working on? Either way, you might want to check out the August issue of Bon Appetit magazine. They have a good article on things to keep in mind when remodeling your kitchen, including 3 Ways to Be Green:

1. Eco-friendly Lights
Smart and gorgeous: handblown reclaimed glass pendants (with hardware made of recycled metal) add a playful pop of color.

Bringing home the farm-to-table ideal can be as simple as a sun-filled window ledge and a few pots of herbs.

3. Bamboo Flooring
While a traditional flooring material like oak can take as long as 100 years to mature, bamboo can be harvested in just three years. Plus, this renewable resource looks great.
