Bonus at the Grocery!

Chico Bags

Who knew that bringing your owns bags to the grocery would help the environment and your wallet? After a recent visit to my local Nob Hill, I was very excited to see money refunded for every bag I used!

Now, granted, it may only be $0.05 (per bag)…but, hey, free money is free money!

Check to see if your local grocer provides such a service. If not, see if you can’t get one started. Maybe it will encourage others to bring their own bags as well!

So jealous of your five cents a bag! Ours gives 2 cents a bag; small, but it really does add up, in more ways than one.

Our local Shoprite now gives 5 cents for the cloth reusuable bags, and 2 cents for the disposable (plastic or paper) bags. I’d love to see more people carrying in their own bags each week.

I’m used to this at Whole Foods, but it’s great to know other stores are doing the same thing!

What I’m really interested in is why you were buying so much cheese…
