Alanis Morissette is Green?
Yup, she sure is. One of Canada’s favorite imports, singer Alanis Morissette shared why she went green with Us magazine readers recently:
“My ‘aha!’ moment about being green came after I traveled to certain cities where the pollution - particularly from diesel - was so tangible, I couldn’t breathe. That’s why I say no to plastic bags, buy natural products made of hemp (not the same as cannabis!) and use recyclable batteries at home and on tour. All life is inextricably linked, so how I treat the planet is the message I send about how I treat myself.”
“Yes, being green sometimes is hard and expensive. But it’s best not to beat ourselves up - hey, some of my favorite clothes and perfumes are not eco-perfect! Let’s follow our own inner nudges, and do what we can.”
If you’d like to support Alanis and her green ways, or are just a fan of her music, her new album, Flavors of Entanglement, is available at your favorite record store or on Amazon now.
