Going Green with Low and Zero VOC Paint

freshaire-choice.jpgWhen I was pregnant last year, we had just bought a new house.  I wanted to get as much done as possible before the baby arrived, and painting was a top priority, but oh those fumes!  Luckily now low and zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) paints are becoming more mainstream and were much safer for me and my unborn baby to be around.

FreshAire Choice is the newest one on the market, and it can be easily purchased from your local Home Depot store.  It is 100% VOC-free and there are no fumes or nasty chemicals to breathe in.  With 65 colors to choose from so far, getting something you like should be easy, and at $38 a gallon, while it’s a smidge pricier than the chemical-loaded counterparts, it’s a difference I can live with.
